  1. From Sky Harbor (Phoenix) airport take I-I0 South
  2. Exit on SR 347 (Exit 164) and head towards Maricopa
  3. Continue on SR 347 through Maricopa until you reach SR 238 towards Mobile (also known as Dead Cow Road) (60 miles)
  4. SR 238 will end up at a STOP sign
  5. Turn left (West) at the STOP sign and it will put you into Gila Bend
  6. Continue West through Gila Bend until you reach McDonalds.
  7. Turn right at the sign just before the McDonald’s for Mexico/ SR 85 South
  8. Take SR 85 South to Ajo, AZ. (39 miles)
  9. Continue on SR 85 South to Why, AZ (10 miles)
  10. Continue on SR 85 South to Lukeville, AZ (boarder town) ( 27 miles)
  11. Lukeville is the border between USA and Mexico. Once you cross the boarder, you will be In Sonoyta, Mexico. At this time, distances change from miles to kilometers (km)
  12. Continue on the main road for approximately 1.8 miles. You will arrive at a 2-way intersection with a stop sign. At this time, you will see a monument and signs for PTO Penasco and Santa Ana to the left. Make a left at the stop sign and the bear right, follow the signs to PTO Puerto Penasco/Caborca at the Y on the road. There is a traffic light soon after you bear right. Continue straight through this traffic light to Mexico Highway 8.
  13. Once you have gone through Sonoyta, continue on Highway 8 from Sonoyta to Puerto Penasco (100 km, approx. 60 miles)
  14. Along the way, there is a sign that says El PTO Penasco. DO NOT turn at this sign
  15. Continue on Highway 8 until you see the sign for Bella Sirena, then turn at the first light. This light will have signs for Sandy Beach Resorts and the road is named Blvd. Samuel Ocana
  16. When you turn to Bella Sirena/ Sandy Beach Resorts, continue on Samuel Ocana past the railroad tracks.
  17. Watch for discretely placed STOP signs. They are hard to see and Penasco police will ticket.
  18. You will reach a roundabout with a Circle K, take a right drive around the round about, past Circle K, take first right, head towards the resorts on the horizon through the arches at Costa Diamante.
  19. Staying on the main road, travel for about 2 miles, Bella Sirena is on your left. The guards are on duty and access is restricted. If you plan on visiting Bella Sirena, it is by appointment only. Please call 011-52-638-382-8170 x1010 for an appointment.
